According to the 2018 Census Bureau, approximately 5.43 million full-time women in the U.S. earn at least $ 100,000.
The opportunity to earn higher salaries not only affects their ability to spend and budget on a short-term basis, but also other financial goals such as investing in real estate and saving for retirement. For this reason, SmartAsset wanted to find out where most women in the country earn six digits.
To find the cities with the most six-digit women, we looked at data on the 100 largest US cities. For more information about our data sources and how we collect all of the information to create our final rankings, see the next section on Data and Methods.
