College hunting is hard. Because of this, you are provided with a laundry list of questions to help you narrow down which schools to choose.

What do the lessons cost? Are there thousands of class sizes or can anyone fit in a 30 seat room? Is it a walkable campus or do you need a car to get around?

While this is all valuable information, one of the most important questions you can ask any college is whether their students have strong pass rates after graduation. The type of jobs and the salary they achieve reflect the school's ability to prepare students for the workforce.

This may not be an easy topic to address on a campus tour. So make sure you do some research before visiting.

PayScale recently released its 2020-2021 College Salary Report, which shows which U.S. colleges and universities have the highest-paid graduates. The ranking is based on salary data from 3.5 million alumni.

Below are the top four schools on this year's PayScale list based on mid-career graduates' median salaries.
