Admittedly, I have never targeted my Facebook friends list too much. Knowing this, I spend little time on the platform.
Why try to reach uninterested readers? I'm much better off writing and posting this guest post on blogging tips. Devil; Targeting my niche through this blog is one reason why I have written and published over 1100 guest posts here alone. Why not spend most, if not all, of your time reaching targeted, interested readers who enjoy consuming what you have to offer? It makes perfect sense to me. But the old self disagreed. I lacked clarity.
I have posted content on Facebook. Nothing has happened. I felt depressed. Why didn't anyone like my things? Why didn't anyone comment on my updates? Well, most of my Facebook friends weren't interested in blogging. Of course, these people are not interested in my blogging tips about content. Makes perfect sense. But I had to swallow this truth by being right with myself. I've never targeted Facebook.
Now I'm wasting little time with FB. I spend a lot of time blogging guest posts with blogging tips. Why? Posting blogging tips on themed blogs is targeting my blogging campaign. I know that you are very interested in blogging tips. We have a great game. I spend my time helping readers who want blogging tips. Readers enjoy my blogging tips. We both win. But only because I wrote and published content for interested readers who longed for my blogging tips.
Do you want to get a full-time income from blogging? Make yourself clear when you address highly interested readers. Spend virtually 100% of your blogging day talking to these people, helping them, and ONLY hanging out where those people are.
In this regard, I have to do a better job. 😉 Even though it feels good to post in off-niche blogs, time is very important to me these days. Travel itching. I am now a full-time digital nomad. No home base. Being on the go requires that I spend almost 100% of my time just engaging in blogging tips, creating at these spots, and connecting to those spots. I don't have time to do anything else when I'm right with myself.
Stop wasting time reaching out to uninterested readers. Stop getting bubble readers interested in your blog. I realize how many Facebook friends are connected to me based on interests outside of blogging. I am at peace with this truth.
Of course, I spend little time or energy turning uninterested people into interested people.
Spend all your blogging time in places that are 100% tailored to your niche with blogging tips or to the niche you work in. Be smart with your blogging time. The goal is to intelligently expand your blog. Monetize effectively.
Being efficient becomes a must when you get busier. After all, you no longer have time to be in non-targeted places. 100% of your blogging attention and energy must be fully focused on people who are very interested in your blogging niche. Smart online and offline entrepreneurs adopt this hyper-targeting mindset because professionals literally have no choice. Matter of clarity.
When you become clearer, you can only focus on places that are targeted to your niche. Guest post on blogs in your niche. Comment on these blogs sincerely. Take your time. Relax. No blogger needs to be in 1,000,000 locations at the same time. Just be in a few places where people seem to be very interested in what you are doing.
This is the starting point for a targeted and successful blogging campaign.
