Introduction to BidVertiser

BidVertiser is a premier, on-demand, self-service platform that delivers high-conversion traffic.

You can find everything you need to convert traffic into money, from exclusive traffic to segmented targeting to various tracking options and in-depth analysis.

The advertising network is well established with over 10 years of experience and remains a popular choice for affiliate advertisers.

The ad network was created in 2008 as a solution to the problem many publishers had of selling their ad space directly to advertisers without having to rely on automated systems.

It was developed from the ground up by a team of in-house developers in Haifa, Israel who gave BidVertiser full control over their systems.

This meant they could quickly adapt to their customers' needs and the rapidly changing landscape.

They are now delivering billions of impressions every month and cementing their place as a serious player in the advertising world.

As an affiliate, you can be impressed that the company is also generating over 1,500,000 monthly conversions – a statistic that keeps thousands of advertisers returning every day.

In addition to its headquarters in Israel, BidVertiser has a support center in the UK, a data center in California and distributed data in AWS and Rackspace Cloud.

In this article, we're going to focus on BidVertiser's demand-side platform for advertisers, which includes a global network of publishers that you can use to get more conversions.

So you can join in – or if you want to jump right in and see what BidVertiser is all about – and click the Register button in the top navigation bar of the website.

You want to register as an advertiser unless you also want to sell ad space on a website that you own.

Registering is quick and easy, but you'll need to check your inbox for an activation code to complete the process. I encountered some verification errors on my first attempt. So make sure not to rush this step and that everything is entered correctly.

Once you have received your activation code, register your new account and log into the platform to view the dashboard.

Account activation (and how to run your first campaign for FREE)

One thing you'll likely notice right away is the pink "Activate Account" button on the top navigation bar. You can either do this now or later, and we'll get into what your payment options are in a moment.

The minimum deposit amount for BidVertiser is typically $ 100. However, if you activate your account with the voucher code MOBIDEA50Get $ 50 instantly in your account with no deposit required (credit cards only. The other payment methods require a $ 100 deposit).

BidVertiser Review: Dashboard

The same dashboard is shared between advertisers and publishers. So make sure you've selected the Advertisers tab. This should be done automatically for you, provided you've signed up as an advertiser.

From here you can manage your campaigns, reports, funds and payments, and your account.

There is also a Traffic Estimator tool that allows you to see real-time, daily traffic estimates and minimum recommended bids for the ad format you have chosen.

If you need help, you can open a support ticket from Dash or connect to a team member on Skype.

The times are given in UTC. So remember to keep this in mind when creating your campaigns.

There is a well-documented user manual and a bell icon for important messages.

Create your first campaign

The Campaigns tab has 5 sections:

  1. Manage campaigns
  2. Create a new campaign
  3. Global postback
  4. Upload conversions
  5. Bid automation log

If you haven't created your first campaign yet, the "Manage campaigns" section is blank. For now, skip this area and click on "Create a new campaign’.

Now is the time to decide which ad format and targeting to use.

BidVertiser has 5 different ad formats:

  • Direct mail – traffic from expired links, typos, or domains redirecting to your domain
  • Pop-under ads are displayed below the active browser window
  • Native Ads – Ads that match the appearance of surrounding content
  • Push ads – Ads sent as notifications to a user's device
  • Contextual Pops – These pops are based on the contextual content on the page the user is browsing

You will find that each ad has a description that will help you choose the right one for your campaign.

There are also different daily minimum budgets and pricing plans depending on the ad format you choose. It is therefore important that you clearly define your campaign goals from the start.

Whichever ad format you choose, bid on traffic that is assigned to advertisers based on their bids.

Different ad formats have different minimum bids. So check the Traffic Estimator tool beforehand.

If you want to bid on adult traffic (or ads with explicit content or nudity) you need to use Direct Ads, Pops, or Push.

Each ad format will work differently depending on the offer. So choose wisely!

Let's examine a campaign using BidVertiser's most popular ad format – direct ads.

Direct ads (also called direct navigation) are an extremely effective and easy way to track high traffic traffic.

The minimum daily budget is $ 5. This makes it the ideal ad format for Mobidea's free $ 50 voucher.

This ad format allows you to receive bids as low as $ 0.001, depending on the GEO and URL you choose.

The best part?

You don't have to spend time creating fancy creatives or eye-catching headlines. Just enter the url you want to target and hit go!

Let's create a direct ad for mobile users.

Before we decide on our targeting, let's take a quick look at the Traffic Estimator tool:

We can see that the US has the most daily ad requests, but it also has the highest minimum bid.

Instead, we can choose to target Brazil with over 2,680,000 daily ad requests and a minimum recommended bid of just $ 0.0018.

For the CPV pricing model, we've selected that this equates to 2777 daily visitors for our minimum daily spend of $ 5.

That's a lot of money for our buck, and should give us some useful test results.

Next we can choose between ROZ (Run-of-Network) and context-related targeting.

If you are running some general offers like sweepstakes, carrier billing, etc., ROZ is the smart choice.

Let's choose contextual targeting because we only want to target engaged visitors.

Now select the categories and keywords that are most suitable for our offer.

There are a number of categories and you can choose as many as you want here.

I use an adult offer from Mobidea so I've selected categories that I think are closely related to the offer.

You can then add keywords based on your offering or choose from the pre-selected keywords sorted by volume.

Take the time to do this step so you don't miss out on any potential traffic. You can always optimize your keywords later.

Next, choose the websites you want to bid on. These are rated according to quality and given a score. However, don't be too hasty to choose only the best websites. Not only will you pay more, but you may also lose the high conversion traffic for your offering.

I've selected all of the sites at this point as you can refine them later once you know which ones are running for your campaign.

On the next tab you will see a real-time bid analyzer to help you choose the best bid.

Since we've already used the Traffic Estimator tool, we have a rough idea of what this will look like.

I increased this by a fraction to get an initial traffic spike for the campaign.

Next, enter the name of your ad and the URL for your landing page.

Don't forget to add your Destination URL Macros here to improve your campaign tracking.

  • Traffic source: {BV_SRCID}
  • Search term / context data (if applicable): {BV_KEYWORD}
  • Your keyword: {BV_DBKEYWORD}
  • Unique click ID for use with server-to-server postback for conversion tracking: {BV_CLICKID}
  • Campaign ID: {BV_CAMPID}
  • Category ID (if applicable): {BV_CATEGORY}
  • Country, Alpha 2: {BV_GEO}
  • Your campaign bid (in US dollars): {BV_BID}

Since this campaign contains adult content, I then selected the porn option and set the frequency to 8 hours.

Since this is a test campaign, I used the $ 5 minimum daily amount.

And that's it!

If you need to be more specific, you can use the advanced settings for the following options:

  • Browser
  • carrier
  • Quality factor
  • Day goodbye
  • SubID blacklisting
  • SubID whitelisting
  • Bid override
  • Bid automation

You should now see your campaign in the Campaign tab and wait for your approval.

We already took a quick look at the Destination URL Macros, but what other tracking options does BidVertiser offer?

To find out, click Global Postback in the Campaign Creation section.

That way, you can find out which clicks resulted in conversions and optimize your traffic sources by entering the postback url into your tracker.

The two parameters you can keep track of are:

  • {BV_CLICKID} – Make sure you add this parameter to your ad on the "Edit Ad" page.
  • {REVENUE} – Represents the revenue from your conversion.

First, enable Global Postback by clicking the green button on the page.

This will bring up a link associated with your advertiser ID as follows: {

This postback URL is triggered in the event of a conversion from the advertising network, provided that you have marked your ad accordingly on the "Edit ad" page.

Many trackers like Voluum and BeMob already have integrations with BidVertiser, which can make the process even easier.

There is also a manual upload process for the conversion if for some reason you cannot use server postback.

If you're having trouble setting up your postback URL, you can contact a support team member.

Bid automation

One of the best things about BidVertiser is how easy it is to use.

Bid automation (accessible from the advanced campaign settings menu) instructs the advanced algorithm to optimize your campaigns while you sleep.

You need to give it some time to run (it works best with more data), but once it's set up there is a powerful way to optimize your campaigns based on the parameters you set.

You can choose between Subid Blacklisting and Subid Automatic Bidding.

For subid blacklisting, enter your target conversion rate and target cost per conversion and give the tool a time frame and a minimum number of clicks.

It will work instantly, filtering out any underperforming traffic sources

Perhaps using the "Subid" automatic bid option is a better way to manage this (at least initially).

To do this, you need to define your optimization period together with your profit factor (in percent).

You can then configure your minimum and maximum override bids and let the system monitor traffic performance for your campaign.

This may take a little more trial and error to find the sweet spot between cost per bid and profit margin, but it has the benefit of not blacklisting sources that could potentially be converted by simply dropping them to a lower one Bid to be set.

If you want a minimal approach to campaign optimization, you can use automatic optimization.

This allows you to set your campaign goals and ROI thresholds and let the proprietary AI work its magic. This is the easiest way to maintain a positive ROI with the least amount of work, and appeals to anyone with a busy schedule.

Campaign reporting

This includes daily activities, a daily summary, and an analytics platform.

It's useful to see at a glance your daily stats, including ad requests, visits, and costs.

The analysis tool gives you a more detailed insight into your campaign and allows you to break down the data into a few metrics:

  • Every day
  • Every hour (max. 2 days)
  • category
  • Subid
  • operating system
  • Browser
  • ISP

The nice thing is that if you use the postback pixel that sends the conversion back into BidVertiser, you can see how your campaign is doing based on each of these metrics, which makes optimization very easy.

Take, for example, Subid reporting, which allows you to blacklist, continue, or override the bid with a specific Sub-ID.

It also provides a neat way to visualize the data for those who prefer to crack the numbers.

Financing and Payments

I mentioned earlier that you need to activate your account first in order to use all of BidVertiser's features.

This is how it works:

  • Click on Add Funds
  • Select the amount you want to add
  • Enter the voucher code * MOBIDEA50
  • Choose your payment method

BidVertiser offers a number of different fee-free payment options including Credit Card, PayPal, WebMoney, Crypto, Payoneer and InterKassa.

You can also pay by international transfer or local transfer.

Once that's done, you can configure the auto-funding options so your campaigns don't dry up.

You can view your transaction history at any time in the financing and payments menu.

* Optional – Get $ 50 free to try BidVertiser for yourself using code MOBIDEA50.

Wrap up

BidVertiser is a platform that is well suited for many types of partner offers.

The recent additions of Push, Native, and Contextual Pops are a nice addition and will appeal to partners who work with multiple ad formats.

BidVertiser is perhaps best known for expired links, domains, and typos, but there's a lot more to it than that.

It's also one of the few ad networks that allows you to drive adult traffic with different ad formats.

It's a platform that has been able to continuously adapt.

BidVertiser offers a high level of visibility into traffic sources combined with great security that prevents you from falling victim to bot traffic, click farms, malware and viruses.

And perhaps most importantly, it is an advertising network that has been shown to convert over and over again for affiliate offers.

Try it!
