Facebook and Instagram stores are adding Shopify as a payment option, which is expected to increase conversion rates by 1.72 times.

All Shopify merchants selling on Facebook and Instagram can now offer Shop Pay as a checkout option for customers.

Checking out with Shop Pay is said to be 70% faster than a typical checkout, which is in large part due to the fact that customer details like billing and shipping information are pre-filled.

When a customer uses Shop Pay for the first time, their information is saved for future purchases. The next time you check out at Shop Pay, you can speed up the process with a simple tap of your finger.

This is the first time Shop Pay has been available outside of Shopify. For businesses, expanding Shop Pay means more sales and fewer abandoned carts.

In a study of 10,000 of the largest Shopify merchants with Shop Pay enabled, it was found that checkouts that go through Shop Pay have an average rate of 1.72 times higher than regular checkouts.

Shop Pay will initially be available to all Shopify merchants through checkout on Instagram in the US and will be rolled out on Facebook in the coming weeks.

If Shop Pay is available on Instagram and Facebook, users can find flagged products in the app and add them to their shopping cart.

At the checkout you have the option of choosing Shop Pay as your preferred payment provider, e.g. B. Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal.

When the order is complete, customers can easily track the progress using the Shopify app.

Shopify merchants in the United States can sell products directly on Facebook and Instagram using tools introduced last year. Shop Pay is automatically activated in Facebook and Instagram stores when activated in the merchant's main Shopify store.
