The "gut feeling" is a reminder warning system that was useful for early people who had to make quick survival decisions without further information. In today's world, this feeling is all about resistance to change.

Whenever you start a new project or routine, it will always feel a little bit wrong. According to Charles Duhigg, author of The Power of Habit, it's all about the way our brain is wired. As soon as an activity becomes a habit, we switch to the autopilot and accept the activity as the norm without thinking about it. It's a mechanism that saves decision-making energy (which is also a quickly exhausted resource) and draws attention to more important things.

To change a habit, we need to integrate decision making into the thinking process. As a result, it will feel strange and even wrong at first, since our brain is wired to preserve the paths that are on the autopilot.

The solution is to accept the strange feeling and just do whatever you want. Whether you want to start the online business administration course that you have moved or want to work freelance, now is the best time to start!
