Ginny Marvin

Ginny Marvin announced on Twitter that she has joined Google as the new Google Ads Product Liaison. She left Search Engine Land in December after having been with the company since 2013 and now takes on a role similar to Danny Sullivan's after leaving Search Engine Land.

Ginny said, "Some work news from me after a few months off: I joined Google in a new role as Ads Product Liaison. My primary goal is to answer questions about how Google Ads products and policies work and to provide insights to marketers It's no exaggeration to say that this is a crucial time for digital advertising with advances in AI, privacy initiatives and more. I am excited to be able to take on this liaison role to help marketers stay informed and in the coming Years of success. And my DMs are open. I will listen a lot and look forward to many constructive discussions. "

When Ginny told me she was leaving a few months ago, I always joked that like Danny, she would end up on Google. She always thought I was crazy, but somehow I saw this coming. Ginny has the history, work ethic, intelligence, and humor to work at Google and in that role. I'm sure she will be great at this, and more importantly, I think she will make positive change for the PPC community right with changes to the Google Ads platform.

To be very clear, Danny was the first liaison hired for Google. He was posted on the search page, then Matt Koval was posted on the YouTube page, and now Ginny was posted on the Google Ads page:

Yes, absolutely like Danny says. I hear you Tad, but the focus on two-way communication is absolutely important. The ability to bring in the advertiser's perspective is a big part of what drew me to this role. You have my ear!

There has been way too many reactions to embed it all, but this is very positive news for both Google and the industry.
