Google is launching a new policy for Google Ads content called Evasive Ad Content. Evasive ad content extends the forbidden manipulation of brand terms in the ad text to domains, subdomains and logos. Prohibit the use of invisible UNICODE characters in ads that add no value to the ad content for users; and do not allow tampering with images or videos to hide guidelines that violate content.

This policy comes into force on May 4, 2021.

Google said the company will "reorganize our ad network abuse policy to improve readability and understanding. Certain policy actions and related messages to Google advertisers will include updated policy names."

Violations of this policy will not result in immediate account suspension without prior warning. As with most other Google Ads policies, you will receive a warning at least 7 days before your account will be suspended.
