Many professional writers, including myself, started out as self-taught hobbyists, were enthusiastic and thought, "Why not get paid for it?"

This is just one example of a passion that can translate into a money making company. There are countless others.

Some hobbies that start out as love work can develop into a full-time career, while others can offer additional income. In either case, you have found a real win / win when you can make some money from an activity that you enjoy.

Do you have problems with potentially lucrative hobby ideas? Do not worry about it. In this week's "Money" podcast, we're going to be discussing a lot of ideas to keep you entertained and maybe make you a little bit richer.

As usual, I share the broadcasting booth with longtime financial journalist and podcaster colleague Miranda Marquit.

Sit back, relax and listen!

Not familiar with podcasts?

A podcast is basically a radio broadcast that you can listen to anytime by either downloading it to your smartphone or other device, or listening online.

They are completely free. They can be of any length (ours are usually less than half an hour), can include any number of people and cover all topics that you can possibly think of. You can listen at home, in the car, jogging or, if you're like me, listening to a bike.

You can listen to our latest podcasts Here or download them to your phone from any number of locations, including Apple, Spotify, RadioPublic, Stitcher, and RSS.

If you haven't heard a podcast yet, try it and subscribe to ours. You will not regret it!
