Joe Beccalori is the CEO of Interact Marketing, as you know, I first spoke to his associate, Anthony Church, and now this conversation is with Joe. Joe didn't live far from me at the time, so that's our non-SEO connection. He started in web design in 1996, worked in development and design, returned to marketing in 2002 and started his own company in 2007. We talked briefly about the difference between owning your own business and working for another company as an employee.

What has changed in SEO over the years:

We've talked a little about the beginnings of SEO and directory listing. Including the Yahoo! Directory and the Open Directory project / DMOZ. So we talked a little bit about what has or has not changed in search engine optimization over the years. Of course, the title and content are important. However, now we can no longer see what people are looking for to get to our website, especially in Google Analytics. This is the undeployed change that was made in 2011. What has also changed is the search results page. it's completely different from a few years ago. The changes to the SERP page include schema / rich results, local entries, twitter results, shopping, more ads, and much more.

He said the value of organic in itself has gone down, and now you need to mix your organic with other forms of digital marketing.
