Because listing and reputation management is so important to local businesses – especially in 2020 – we're rolling out new Moz Local plans that will give you more options for review monitoring, review management, and social posting depending on your needs.

While having accurate and complete listings online has always been important for local businesses, it is even more important in today's environment. Google found that searches for "in stock" increased more than 70% globally in the late first quarter, indicating that people are shopping locally more often. Nextdoor found that 72% of its members believe they will visit local businesses more often after the crisis ends.

However, consumers often rely on reviews from local businesses when deciding where to buy. High quality, positive reviews can improve your company's visibility. Replying to reviews shows that you value your customers and their feedback.

Why is Moz offering new plans?

The new Moz Local plans – Lite, Preferred, and Elite – offer more features and flexibility to better serve the needs of local businesses and their marketers. Our previous plans limited reputation management and social posting to the top tier plan only, and we wanted to make these features more widely available.

Customers in one of the new plans can now monitor reviews via alerts and, depending on the plan, react to reviews and use social contributions. It's never been more important to actively engage with the needs and concerns of your current customers – and potential customers will take notice.

We also wanted to provide flexibility in terms of local business aggregator submissions. While all plans include factual, US customers can add the other two main aggregators if they want more coverage.

What's new?

With the new plans, you can maximize your online presence and connect with consumers more easily. The following is new:

Check the surveillance

All three plans allow you to receive notifications and read reviews posted on Google, Facebook and other websites in our partner network from a central dashboard. With 82% of consumers reading online reviews for local businesses, know what they are saying.

Check the management

Favorite and Elite subscribers can also reply to reviews posted on Google, Facebook, and select directories from the dashboard. Your ability to react quickly can mean the difference between keeping a customer or losing to your competition. When it comes to negative reviews, 40% expect a response either immediately or within 24 hours.

Social posting

Preferred and Elite subscribers can share news, offers and other content directly to Google, Facebook and select directories from the dashboard.

For example, news posts can be shared on Facebook and questions and answers and COVID-19 posts can be posted on your Google My Business page. By exchanging messages and offers, you can proactively connect with consumers and acquire new customers.

Local data aggregators

All three plans now include submitting location data to Factual for wider distribution of location data. US Preferred and Elite subscribers can add the other two data aggregators – Infogroup and Neustar Localeze – for $ 40 per year per location.

Additional directories

The Elite plan includes a number of additional directories for list management and location data distribution including Tupalo, Where To ?, Brownbook, Opendi, iGlobal, Manta, and Cylex, to name a few. Every plan in the US, UK, and Canada has some local directories relevant to that region. For example, the US Elite plan includes Yellow Pages, Superpages, and DexKnows. A full list can be found here.

The following comparison grid shows the key characteristics for each US plan. Please visit our website for all of the new plans and pricing for the US, UK and Canada.
