Google algorithm update

I'm seeing some early signs this morning of another update to the Google Search ranking algorithm. The SEO community is starting to buzz about ranking fluctuations this morning and some of the tracking tools are already picking up on the changes to the Google search rankings.

The last unconfirmed update reported here was on or around February 8th and then Google confirmed the introduction of the Passagen Ranking update on the night of February 10th. So this one seems to be new and independent of them.

A WebmasterWorld thread has a few posts starting with Chatter late into the night through this morning:

It seemed like US traffic was recovering sooner, but at 2 p.m. it fell off a cliff again … US and UK traffic fell exactly 29% at 5:30 p.m. EST. Overall, search queries have decreased by 25% and direct ones by 18%. Anyone who notices more changes this morning. We see quite a lot again and the sensors seem to be fading. Massive drop this morning. US Semrush sensor is burning!
Something definitely moved in our niche this morning. Traffic is pretty stable, but the rankings have changed from last night until today. I think this update is a fix for last week's update. I thought they waited for Friday to collect more data, but I think they are not happy with what they see. Thank goodness there is an update. Hope I get all of my keywords back after last week's mess that literally destroyed my website. Mind you, things can get worse, keep your fingers crossed.

Here are some screenshots of the tools that are tracking these changes. Note that most have not yet been updated so I may be able to update this history with new data later in the day.
