Since drag and drop builders became a thing, the name of the game has changed completely. In fact, today you don't even have to hire a developer to create your landing page for you because you can actually do it yourself. And it's not that difficult at all.

There are tons of tools out there these days that can help you create sophisticated, professional-looking, well-optimized landing pages without the messy, mind-boggling programming code. (You may even already be using one!)

But that doesn't end there because these platforms are evolving with higher AI technology that makes everything simple, quick and easy.

One of the tools that I've really been looking into lately is Unbounce. If you search the Internet, you will find numerous positive reviews from users and it is a very busy day. I thought it was worth looking into.

But first let me give you a quick look back at what a landing page is and why a great landing page works wonders for your business.

Review: what is a landing page?

A landing page is literally a stand-alone page that your customers land on when they click on an email or ad from one of your marketing campaigns. It is created for a single purpose: convert and generate sales.

Landing pages are essentially:

  • Laser focused with a call to action to increase conversion rates.
  • Designed to suit customers' purchase intent.
  • Created to lower your cost per acquisition (CPA) and increase your overall ROI.

This is exactly why landing pages should be taken seriously. But like what I mentioned They don't need a programmer to do this for you. It's not rocket science and it wouldn't be if you had the right tools in your arsenal to make this easy and straightforward for you.

How is Unbounce a landing page tool?

Unbounce starts designing an all-in-one landing page platform. It's a drag-and-drop builder that allows the user to effortlessly create and customize beautiful and high-functioning landing pages in less time and even without any knowledge of HTML.

From choosing your own background to changing the color of your CTA button, Unbounce lets you quickly add, change or modify any element. In addition, they offer various templates that you can use and edit to suit your branding needs. Unbounce lets you create landing pages, popups, and sticky bars.

So what makes it stand out then?

In addition to the user-friendly interface, it can also be seamlessly integrated with analysis platforms (such as Google Analytics) and other marketing and email software tools.

But that's not it.

What makes it stand out for me are these features, which I find really unique and definitely useful in any marketing campaign.

Complete freedom as a drag and drop builder

Most, if not all, landing page tools on the market use a block and column system. While you're used to using a grid-like structure, you've probably never understood how powerful an actual drag-and-drop builder is.

And by that I mean one that you are free to be Literally drag and drop an item across the page without the blocks and columns that are too restrictive and sometimes even frustrating to work with.

Dynamic text replacement

Dynamic Text Replacement (DTR) takes personalization to the next level by tailoring the content of your Unbounce landing page to match visitor search queries, keyword parameters and your PPC campaigns. DTR is really innovative in the sense that it offers real-time solutions to increase your conversions by directly influencing the relevance of your landing page to the fulfillment of user intent.

For best results, combine DTR with the Google Ads keyword insertion feature for maximum conversions.

Built-in A / B tests

A solid feature that Unbounce has as a landing page platform is the built-in split test feature that allows you to test different versions of your landing page so that you can easily change certain elements of your copy and compare those changes side by side and measure their impact, to maximize their performance.

Unbounce is relatively simple in design; You can easily duplicate an existing variant of your page, create a new template, or start over. Changing it is pretty easy too, as you can also edit it just like you would edit your form with the builder.

Most importantly, you can monitor and compare the number of visitors, views and conversions in just one window.

Smart Traffic ™

To be fair, I'm actually impressed with Smart Traffic ™. It is an AI-based conversion tool that can be used to direct visitors to landing pages that they would most likely prefer based on the attributes of the user. Pretty amazing stuff, isn't it?

Let's just say that Smart Traffic ™ works like a matchmaker. It automatically evaluates the user's data and then sends that user to a variant of your page with the highest content relevance in the hope of a greater chance of converting that user into a paying customer.

Mobile optimized with AMP landing pages

With all eyes glued to their phones, I can't stress enough the importance of having AMP landing pages. The number of mobile users multiplies every year. So one can assume that we are moving more or less in the direction of a mobile digital world.

in addition, AMP landing pages can reduce page load times to an average of one second, This is 85% less than the normal loading time for standard mobile phone pages.

What's even better is that you don't even have to worry about the development side of creating AMP pages as you can leave all of that to Unbounce again. They provide AMP templates that you can use, customize, and even test like the other forms based on their software.

Note, however, that AMP pages will not be supported until you upgrade your plan to speed up and scale.

Reporting and analysis

While Unbounce offers insights and analytics into the performance of your landing page through the dashboard, you can further optimize it by linking your Unbounce account to your Google Analytics account.

You can set up conversion goals, track user actions, and keep track of your CTAs and conversion rates. If you still have no idea how to integrate your Google Analytics account with the Unbounce platform, they have generously provided full documentation which you can access here.

What's the verdict?

All in all, I personally think it's a solid platform for anything landing page related. What's not to love when you have literally all the tools on the platform to design, optimize, and evaluate your campaigns?

Overall, I believe that as a software provider, it has been able to provide a really simple and easy to use interface, especially for someone who is just starting out, although it would probably take you some time to get used to the dashboard and all of its features . All of these things aside, it makes everything a thousand times easier for entrepreneurs and marketers who have no knowledge of web development.
